    Pillbox, WW Two, OAHU

    This concrete bunker sits on the North Shore of Oahu at Kahuku. One mile west of the Turtle Bay Resort.
    Placed there to defend the island from Japanese invasion.
    We were invaded, but they flew Dec. 6 right over the pillboxes, even though radar had picked up a great flight of planes, they thought it was bombers coming from the mainland to land at Kaneohe Air Force Base just east of Kahuku. It was a grave mistake, of course we all know that.
