    Wintry weather 2014

    More from Marynes1

In winter, hot water under the bridge

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Venezuela native and former New Jersey resident Marynes1 says it was hard for her to imagine Governor Chris Christie using lane closures as a way to hurt other politicians. 'For me, it is like playing with the life of the citizens,' she said. 'Governor Christie said he did not know anything and that he asked for the resignation of the people involved in this scandal. I am not in the position to believe him or not, but I wonder how such a thing that last for two days was invisible for him. And I wonder what would happen if he were the president of United States,' said the 59-year-old.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

Hurry! Take the picture! Now! Click! But the pictures of the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, N.J. were invisible covered with the fog on December the 29th /2013 and I lost interest to post them.

But who would say to me that this bridge would be posted on the front pages of the media in United States during the first weeks of 2014 because of an act of political corruption under the administration of N.J. Governor Chris Christie and then I would be willing to post my invisible photos again?.

This news is all over, that in the bridge there was a mass traffic jam during two continuous days in last September, due to the closing of some lanes, not caused for construction work or any matter of this sort, but caused by the mind of the Governor’s senior aide and others as “apparent political retribution against the Democratic mayor of Fort Lee, N.J.” (Washington Post, January 9) And more over, another pressure cooker is in another stove with the destiny of Sandy Storm funds.

A friend of mine used to tell me that corruption was every where in the globe and that evidently, there was corruption in The United States, but Americans fight, take corruption cases to the judiciary system, make movies, corrupted people were judged and sentenced and that of course makes people to think twice to bribe. -“Here, in Venezuela, people do what ever they want to do because nobody says anything”.

But this is not completely true, in Venezuela, former president Carlos Andres Perez (+) was sentenced for corruption and removed from the presidency in 1993 and he was confined to his house as a jail for several years.

Illogically in twenty years, the country has gone backward in most aspects. The corruption has devoured the institutions of the Nation and you may wonder where are those funds that were supposed to keep its citizens safe and sound. Fog as corruption makes things invisible but the sun will shine some day.
