Everything I Know I Learned From The Beatles

At the age of 10 the Beatles came into my life. Not via Ed Sullivan - of course I watched that February night, but from Jack Paar on one earlier. My mom let me stay up to watch The Paar show and I remember being fascinated by what I saw.
From that day in 1964 my world changed from black and white to color. Their music, their fashion, their philosophies shaped my life and the person I am today. Everything in my 10 year old world centered around John, Paul, George and Ringo. There was a period of time in 1964, I would only respond to the name Barbie Beatle. My poor mom had to indulge me or I wouldn't respond to her calls.
Their fashion sense dictated what I would or would not wear. I was the neighborhood queen of the Mods. And of course they taught me that all you need is love. Over the years I collected a lot of Beatle memories/memorabilia and actually got to see them in 1966. My second son is named Paul ( yep after you know who) and I have carried a Beatle lunch box as a purse for the past 20 years. Hey, it's actually quite practical.
Living in Cleveland, home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Beatle exhibit is of course my favorite. Serving as a Docent for the museum, I love sharing my Beatle knowledge and memories with anyone who will listen.
Here are pix of my scrapbook, pictures and poems now 50 years old, my concert ticket stubs from 1966, my "purse", my 45 of She Loves You complete with "custom ownership label.
Their music is timeless and I still feel the same way that I did "all those years ago".
