“Your Book Cover could be hurting your sales”
If you're publishing books to Kindle, B&N Nook Press, Apple, Kobo or any other publishing platform. Then you need to read this.
In 2012 Neilsen, the UK ISBN agency, released a whitepaper study that shocked the publishing world!
Nielsen discovered that:
• Titles that meet the BIC Basic standard see average sales 98% higher than those that don’t meet the standard
• The addition of an image has a strong impact on average sales, of 268% in comparison to titles without an image”
That's right! Cover art means 268% more sales, 268% more royalties and 268% more in cold hard cash.
So what was the Big Problem?
One major problem that authors have is despite dozens of visitors they have poor conversions! Not only does online traffic not convert into sales, but what's even worse their paperback book sits on a shelf in a book store because no one wants to look at the ugly cover art. You couldn't give away that book for free! - This could be happening to you!
The problem is the perception of inferiority! - Self-published book covers have until recently, just not been as good as those from traditional publishers! People can't read your book through the cover so they have to like the cover art before the idea of buying your book pops in their head. What's causing the problem?
Your book covers could be:
A) depicting ONLY one of the two: genre OR title and not both
B) using low DPI images
C) using common fonts like Times New Roman... and the list goes on and on.
You could be leaking sales opportunities like a broken faucet and not even know it! - Your covers should help to convert customers into buyers not chase them away!
Even if your book is already published, fear not. You can get your book cover revised easily by the professionals at La Belle Au Bois Dormant Publishing. Transform your book from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan today.
