    Maori Culture in Rotorua

Maori culture still successfully thrive in New Zealand. In fact they are the most intact and integrated indigenous culture in the world. From names of cities and streets, Maori culture is embedded in Kiwi history. Children are taught Maori in schools. They know how to write and speak the language. Art and architecture in New Zealand show signs of Maori influence. Historically, they are a very strong indigenous race.

Rotorua boasts one of the most profound celebrations of Maori culture in its landmarks and tourist destinations. The Mitai Village cultural show is a great way to introduce yourself with Maori Culture. To book for shows, please contact Mairi or Ron from 51 Malfroy Road, Rotorua. They own and manage the MALFROY motor lodge and usually recommends great Rotorua destinations and tourist attractions.
