Thailand State of Emergency imposed
- zdan, CNN iReport producer
Suthep led a march through certain districts near the center of Bangkok today, where locals from houses and office buildings gathered on the street side, many personally handing over cash donations for the cause to Suthep as he made his way to Lumpini Park at dusk.
With the State of Emergency imposed, how it will be enforced, what the protesters will do tomorrow is anyone's guess, but more than likely they will not abandon the streets and government will be forced to turn up the heat. We are likely to enter a new phase of this developing story. Some are predicting this situation will get worse before it gets better and like the 2010 Red shirt protests, this one too will end in tears.
The scenes today were patriotic and peaceful attended by normal working class Thais. Tomorrow will tell who shows up from both sides of the fence.
