Petrosaudi partnership's with GNPC (Ghana National Petroleum Corporation)
Petrosaudi International, the Saudi oil exploration and production company founded in 2005, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) in August 2011; the goal, to increase the benefits Ghanaians derive from the country's upstream oil and gas industry. GNPC was founded to undertake the exploration, development, production and disposal of petroleum therefore allowing significant impact on the development of the African country.
A few months after the signing, Ghana, Africa's latest crude producer started pumping oil from the UK energy company Tullow Oil.
The signing of the Memorandum was done in GNPC's headquarters in Tema with the presence of their CEO, Nana Boakye Asafu-Adjaye and Tarek Obaid, CEO of Petrosaudi. Essentially responsible for developing and maintaining international partnerships Mr.Obaid proudly announced "We look forward to working with our partners at GNPC and helping the Ghanaian people fully develop the potential of Ghana's energy resources."
Mr. Obaid is an experienced business leader, who has been both a founder and investor in a variety of businesses in the financial services, technology, and real estate industries. He is a graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.
