Google buses are stoped in 8th and Market, San Francisco by protesters

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Dozens of protesters physically stopped a Google bus on Mission Street in San Francisco right outside of pablopablo10’s apartment this morning. Today’s protest is just the latest in the on-going Google bus saga. pablopablo10 says he sees these buses stop near him every day; he believes on is from Facebook and the other is from Google. This isn’t the first time he has seen a Google bus protest on his street.

“These are the buses that give free rides their employees and they represent all the great perks those employees have for working in those companies,” pablopablo10 said. “Some group of people resent how expensive the city has become and they make responsible the high tech companies for this. The police came and tried to peacefully stop the protesters blocking the buses.”

pablopablo10, who was only observing the protest from his apartment, said, “I don´t think it is fair to blame such companies. The raising of the rents and prices has been always present in this city but it is easier to blame one very visible company for it.”

This is what I see from my apartment in San Francisco. Buses carrying employees of Google at its offices in Mountain View are stopped by a protest group. These people say technology companies are responsible for the rising rents and the cost of living in the city of San Francisco
