This iReport is part of an assignment:
Derelict, Decaying and Forgotten
Growing up in rural Appalachia combined with my high level of introversion, I seldom shot photos of human subjects aside from the occasional self portrait from time to time. I spent most of my time traveling the back roads of West Virginia looking for subjects, whether it be a mountain stream, abandoned house or a decaying vintage auto left to dissolve into the soil. Even though I have moved on to different mediums of photography such as events, live music, and journalistic type shots I still have a passion for shooting the derelict, decaying and forgotten and things of our world.
These photos are special to me as they represent various moments of my journey with photography.
