    Personal Trainer Swansea

FORCES FITNESS EXPERT KICK STARTS BESPOKE PT SERVICE
    FOR LOCAL PEOPLE

Dan Stanley, a former Staff Seargent and elite Royal Army Physical Training Corps instructor, has launched Kick Start PT, an exclusive personal training service aimed at people living in the Swansee and Llanelli area..
Dan has more than 11 years direct experience of working in the fitness industry, within both the military and civilian sectors, including designing, implementing and validating All Arms Commando Training for the British Army.
This role in the forces combined with his qualifications as a Level 3 Advanced Personal Trainer and a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer, means that he is ideally positioned to deliver effective and challenging fitness programmes for local people who want to make a real difference to their lifestyles. He is also a specialist in preparing training and people for employment in the emergency services and armed forces.
Since he set up Kick Start PT at the end of 2013, Dan’s client base has steadily grown and all of his clients have enjoyed considerable success, remarking how much they enjoy his unique approach to fitness training. His clients range in age from 15 to 65 and include house wives, business men as well as a core of high performance athletes.
What’s more, in conjunction with Llanelli-based Robert Davies Health & Fitness, Kick Start PT will assisting College Sir Gar’s Physical Education Department in facilitating educational field trips for students. Dan is also in the process of setting up bespoke weekend fitness camps utilising the accessible and challenging terrain of the Welsh countryside.
Says Dan, “I left the forces in 2012 to assist my wife in the running and development of our commercial and domestic cleaning company. After a year of working as a contracts manger within the family business I realised how much I missed working within the fitness industry. So taking my experience (and fitness qualifications) from working within the forces and my experience from assisting in the running of the company, the time seemed ripe to start my own personal training business.
“At KickStartPT we place great emphasis on educating our clients so that they can make informed lifestyle choices. Our approach to fitness is different; for example we use constantly varied functional movements to accelerate our client’s physical progressions. My long term aim is to continue to grow my client base by helping people improve the quality of their lives through fitness.”
Dan’s commitment to keeping fit and leading by example is faultless. Over the last 12 months he has run and rowed a marathons, completed the 3 Peaks 24 Hour Challenge, cycled from John O Groats to Lands End unaided and run the South West Tough Mudder.

In 2014 he will be part of a team of cyclist who are raising money for Ty Hafen by cycling from Cardiff, London, Edinburgh, Belfast, Dublin and back to Cardiff in 5 days in the 5 x 5 Capital Challenge.
Dan is also an accredited exercise practitioner with the Register of Exercise Professionals, the UK leading body for the fitness industry.
At Kick Start PT, he is currently running a 100 Day Fitness Challenge where his clients complete1 additional Burpee each day until they reach 100 days and 100 Burpees. There are around 40 participants who will accumulate 5050 Burpees over the course of the 100 days challenge.
