NIGHT OF HOT FASHION
Berlin is not only one of the top fashion capitals of Europe, but is perhaps also the best party city in the continent. Berlin is known as the city that never sleeps because it has no curfew like other German cities. This regulation is a remnant of the historic military occupation of Berlin by Allied Forces during the Cold War. It still exists today and makes it possible for bars and restaurants to remain open 24 hours a day. What a better way to conclude the recent Berlin Fashion Week 2014 by combining fashion with clubbing? That is exactly what happened during the fashion performance held at the chic and newly opened club, the Schwarze Hütte, located in the trendy district of Berlin-Mitte. Extravagant and cutting edge fashion by the couture geniouses A. Berneth and Degenerotika combined with the outrageous make-up and styling by Y. Kronnagel was presented by a group of performance artists, the Nightwalkers. The fashion show exuded an aura of fetish and theatre as it started in the show windows of the club. The Nightwalkers moved slowly and rhythmically to the music that made them resemble living store mannequins, to the delight of gawking tourists and pedestrians. The group then proceeded and continued their performance and show inside the elegant club where the party lasted until the early morning hours.
