Grant Town University Spreads Awareness about Healthy Eating and Weight Management

An educational institute is not limited to just providing education for better careers; it also makes sure that its students are aware about what is going on in the world so that the students become well-developed and aware professionals. Grant Town University takes its bond with its students very seriously and strives to make qualified and groomed human resources for the modern world. In this regard, the University recently held an online awareness seminar on a healthy lifestyle that will positively affect the students’ lives.

The seminar focused on the importance on keeping track of one’s health amid busy work and study schedules. In the race to get the best of everything a lot of people forget to care about their health or avoid things that will prove detrimental to it. The session focused on simple tips that can be followed on a daily basis that will not consume much time either. These included improving hydration through drinking lots of water, cutting down on fattening foods, proper exercise like an early morning walk or jog, and a healthy diet among other things.

Majority of people are unaware about the hazards to health that certain foods pose, or the ideal weight in correspondence to height, the right Body Mass Index (BMI) and other personal facts that are important to be knowledgeable about. The session held by Grant Town University sought to provide information about these critical points and how integral they are to a good health. The seminar featured renowned nutritionists and health experts, some of which were part of the faculty of the School of Health Sciences of the University. This effort by the University was very well-received by the student body, who felt that their Alma mater did not just stop at providing a formal education but strove to give them exposure to things that would contribute to their grooming and development as informed individuals of the 21st century.
