This iReport is part of an assignment:
What are you watching?
A little bit of Antartica in my backyard and a movie review!
I also finally had the courage to watch "The March of the Penguins" when it came on CNN which is about the Emperor penguins noble yearly journey across Antartica in search of a mate. It was beautifully written and directed by Luc Jacquet and the sound track moved me as did the touching narration by Morgan Freeman which added some comfort to the faithful journey of love and loss and love again. Parts of it did disturb me but I am glad I saw it overall, finally. You can order it online through Amazon or National Geographic.
The black footed penguin in the second picture lives at the NY aquarium and is sometimes called a Jack ass penguin because of the braying sound it makes.
