    Creativity goes Exit

Cloudparty ends. One year ago I was at the Metameets Conference at 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. Cloudparty was present. Jan Northoff of You in 3D from Berlin invited me to join and to bring my art into this grid. Mesh based. State of the art technology. A great community, free of charge if I don’t move to commercial content. A good offer indeed and Jan had already all the expertise.

I said: “I will if I can download what I do there, run a backup on a self-made local server so I can present the work also outside cloudparty”. This was not the package deal and so I said, thank you, but .... - and made my prediction:

'Cloudparty will not make it or will be bought by an investor and change to commerical business. Creativity goes Exit.'

In case you are not in banking business you may see “Exit” is a bad thing. But there it is not. Exit means there when you make an idea to money.

Now Yahoo bought the team and what to do with the user created content? Burn it? Oh yes: Burning Man in 3D exisits!

    But what about ...
Let´s make party! Yes! All content creators can bring what they made in Cloudparty to RIFT HORIZON on opensim grid Metropolis via Collada export. Just go on http://hypergrid.org -> choose english

A good and nice fair doing when one makes Exit, I think. All the best to the founders of Cloudparty: Sam, Conor, Jimb, Jered, Garin, Wren.

So long, and Thanks for All the Fish!
