A taste of Italy in LA

There’s no need to fly to the other side of the planet to get a taste of what it is like in Italy.

Los Angeles has a number of Italian restaurants that serve authentic Italian cuisine. With professionally trained chefs from culinary institutes from Italy, they have a background in the various kinds of food served in the several regions of Italy. Some of the restaurant chefs are native Italians, trained in their home country. They moved here to bring their home land’s foods to people who might not otherwise get to experience it.

In that sense, these chefs are cultural ambassadors to the Los Angeles area.

The best Italian restaurants in Los  Angeles have fresh Mediterranean foods shipped in from Italy on a regular basis to provide the best dining experience possible. This may increase the cost of the meal, but the difference is very noticeable. Fresh produce, seafood and meat is always best.

Since the fresh food will vary from season to season, you should not expect to order the very same dish every time you go to a good Italian restaurant Los Angeles. Since the chef wants to maximize your dining experience, let the staff make season recommendations based on what you like

At the same time good sommelier understands these seasonal variations and what wine should accompany the various foods. A good wine cellar means the perfect drink is always ready to match the perfect meal.

Be adventurous at the same time. If there’s a new item on the menu, ask the waiter about it. Tell him what you like and do not like and he will made an educated decision about what you’d think of the dish. If he recommends it, try it. You may find a new favorite meal.
