    Tell us the Good Stuff!

    Turning point

In 2011, I went to England from Japan to homestay program 2 weeks with my high school classmates. I arrived there 11th March, the same days the Great East Japan Earthquake. I heard about this on the airplane, and I didn’t know that Japan had been damaged so much. I couldn’t believe what had happened to my country after I watched TV news. I was shocked, but I recieved a lot of kindness here in England despite far away from Japan. Many people spoke to me and cared about my family and friends even though I was on the bus or shopping. I was very touched by their kindness. Also I want to be kind to people from around the world, and talk with them to understand their culture or various culture. I think of this big event everytime when I don’t have motivation to study. That is why I study English.
In addition to this, I have a dream to be a flight attendant in the future. On the way to returned to Japan, my friend felt sick. Then many flight attendants cared about her. That was not good situation, but they behaved calmly. At that time I strongly trusted I want to be like them. And now, I am going to go to England again as a flight attendant internship. I am very glad to return, and I will try my best. It will be a second my turning point in the future.
