    Crashing Waves near Fort Fisher

Kure Beach stretches out along Fort Fisher, just South of Wilmington, NC. The Fort has a historical significance of being the last port open to the Confederacy during the Civil War. It was also an artillery training camp during WW2. Due to storms and dredging, tourists have been finding artifacts and fragments in and near these waters over the decades.
