Atlanta Snow Time Lapse - January 2014

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jamesgott told me, 'The video was shot out of my guest bedroom into the cul de sac. It is normally a very quiet road without many cars traveling on it. There are no trees or debris etc down on the street or back yard. I put a ruler in the yard when I started this project yesterday. I just walked outside to measure and we got between 1-3/4" - 2" here in Duluth (measured on pavement and a glass table). This is about the same as I can remember for a bad winter storm.'

This is a time lapse video of the snow storm that hit the Atlanta, GA area on 1/28/14. The snowfall started at roughly 12:00pm. This video was started when I got home, and the first frame was taken at 1:37pm. The camera took a shot every 30 seconds for 6 hours and 22 minutes until 7:59pm. My house in Duluth saw about 1 3/4" - 2" total. The bus you see in the video came to drop kids off at 4:41pm
