CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jags32 told me, 'It started off as a normal day at work. We were asked to leave work around 12 pm. So, I hop in my car and head out to my son's school (Kennesaw Mountain Magnet School). It took me about 6 hours to reach the intersection of Cobb Parkway and McCollum Parkway and at which point I saw cars sliding down the hill due to ice. I decided to park my car at a nearby business since my battery light was flashing and I walked to the school which was about a 2 mile walk. The principal and vice principal offered me snacks, coffee and water. A friend of mine picked us up and we spent the night and are still at his house. Hope to get back home today late afternoon. I wish the schools were closed yesterday.'

Cobb pkwy at the intersection of McCollum pkwy was iced up causing cars to skid off the road. I had to park my car and walk 2 miles to my sons school and was picked up by a friend. We are staying at his house.
