[The dispute of the construction of super-high voltage power transmission towers in Miryang]

Do you know the only the country in the world that has demonstrators having a light lunch with chained around their bodies just to avoid being picked up by the police?
It is the Republic of Jackpot!

It is a dispute between Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO) and the people living in the project area.
About 20 people against the idea of KEPCO, constructing super-high voltage (765 KV) power transmission lines over their village, have had sit-in demonstrations in front of Miryang City Hall for two days.
And they have been trying to set up a memorial altar for a Mr. Yoo, who drank poisonous liquid and committed suicide to protest against the plan to construct the super-high voltage power transmission lines in his village.
But the police have been trying to disperse them, discouraging them to do it.
Some of the demonstrators even have chained around their bodies to avoid picking up by the police.
