Jack Frost bring the south to a stand still

We all love the once a year sight of a few snow flakes in "The Peach State" however, i don't think no one anticipated what happened on Wednesday.

I was traveling from Chickamauga, GA to Chattanooga, TN as the snow started falling, within 45 minutes the ground was white and the roads getting icy but still passable. I went on to my appointment, as I exited around 1130am to return to my vehicle the ground had disappeared underneath a solid white blanket of snow and ice, as i headed for interstate 75 back into Georgia traffic was bumper to bumper, cars off in ditches and the interstate at a complete stand still. Traffic slowly moved until I was able to get off the exit for Rossville BLVD and LaFayette Road just outside of the Chickamauga Military Park, traffic was once again at a complete stop. Nearly 4 hours later I had traveled less than 3 miles.

Around 930pm Wednesday I finally made it home fortunately due to the hard work of our county road crews and emergency responders.
