My story is one of hundreds of people that were affected on Tuesday afternoon when Atlanta became a big mess. I left my work at 3 pm in Buckhead and arrived, thank God, safe at my house around 12 am. What surprised me about this hectic day was the feeling that many good people left in my heart. I spent 10 hours on 75 north, stuck every 20 minutes. Desperate to move forward like all the people around me, every time I got stuck a stranger would push my car and scream, go! go! That was truly amazing- a feeling that was priceless in that moment of helplessness. I won't forget a man with his family that completely stopped and parked his car to come to me and place some salt on my wheals so I could continue my long trip home. I can only see the bright side of this unexpected disaster, and the fact that many people in the area were willing to offer a helping hand leaves an incomparable sentiment of comfort, trust, and thankfulness.
