This iReport is part of an assignment:
Democratic systems are it is said the best in the world because people are given the right to vote and choose their leaders. But what happens once money gets in the game? Candidates for democratic elections should be wise, clever, balanced and caring people entering in a competition (election) to become leaders of a country.
Over the years, mutations have reshaped democracy and elections; money got in; you can buy your way up into becoming an elected candidate. In fact, reflecting on the matter, I wonder how can a poor clever, wise balanced and knowledgeable person would actually be able to get to be a candidate?
What is happening in Thailand is that people are starting to realize that money is not all. Rich candidates does not oppose but also does not guarantee that elected leaders will be caring, wise, balanced who will take decisions for the benefit of all, not for their wallets.
This is why Thai people want to RESTART Thailand. This is why they do not want the coming election on February 2 to happen; because it would be again money leaders. I am sure we can all understand that; I am sure we also have to say it makes sense to RESTART THAILAND.
