    Waiting a little bit!

     

    By Marinés Lares. Not everyone likes to cook and some never show desire to learn it at all.

     

    Some say that they hate cooking. Hopefully some are lucky enough to be married or to live with someone who loves cooking or they buy food ready to heat and consume, or they to go to restaurants often, or they eat whatever.

     

    I do not belong to any of these categories and I try to persuade people to cook simple and healthy for them and their family. For me, dinner time with the family is the greatest moment of all.

     

    I did not know how to cook until I just tried it. I prepared my first meal and since then I have not stopped preparing any menu that comes to my mind with creativity.

     

    I open the refrigerator and the pantry and the menu pops up in my mind. As simple as to open two cans of food adding my personal touch and some vegetables, and voila, there is dinner ready for that day.

     

    Believe me, in a pantry of those on category # 1, you may find expired cans of food. I had a friend who showed me one day a chicken with 6 months in the refrigerator that she was about to throw because she did not  know what to do with it.


    But people who are in my category probably agree that cooking every day make them feel tired, and worst, that they sometimes do not want to eat their own prepared food, or at least they have to wait a little bit to consume it. This happened to me today; I needed to wait for this pasta and the homemade chicken nuggets to eat them.

     

    The recipe of the pasta in the picture above is in any spaghetti package. If you belong to category #1, follow the instructions and the nuggets are very simple to prepare. Just cut one or two chicken breasts (according to the number of people to feed) in small squares, add salt and garlic and onion powder, cover them with flour and fry them. Use low heat and be sure it gets brown, then cover for a while (15 minutes) to make sure the chicken is well done!

    If you belong to category # 1, I can see you eating right away with pride and if you belong to category # 2, just wait.
