    Year of the Horse celebrated in Largo, Florida (Nat. Sd)


    After a week of cold, wet weather, some sunshine to celebrate the Chinese New Year in Largo, Florida today. The Suncoast Association of Chinese Americans organized this event at Largo Central Park.


    In China, Vietnam, Korea and Japan, the Chinese New Year is better known as the Spring Festival or Lunar New Year.  2014 is the Year of the Horse. SACA president Jessica Tien said it's a year of prosperity for everyone,


    There were the traditional Lion and Dragon dances, firecracker chicken, spring rolls, performances and red envelopes with money for the children. Legal groups and University of South Florida medical students also participated to provide free health screenings for high blood pressure.
