    Georgians Protesting Sochi Olympics

    Georgian citizens gathered today 01.02.2014 in five main cities of the country (Telavi, Tbilisi, Gori, Kutaisi, Zugdidi) to express their protest to Sochi Olympics. In spite active demonstrations, collecting of unprecedented number of 28 000 signatures under petition requiring boycott of Olympic games to be held in aggressor Russia, Georgian government and Olympic committee preferred not to angry big brother. Last month when many of European leaders refused to attend Sochi occupation of Georgia was not even named among arguments. Movement for Independence and Euro-Integration, established just recently, organized nation-wide protest to deliver Georgians’ protest to international audience.
