"Swan Dive." and some advice from Pete Seeger.

I was at Coney Island yesterday, where else. I do like it there and it was quite beautiful about 60 degrees F. The Polar Bear club was gearing up at Stillwell to take the Sunday afternoon plunge into the Atlantic but this day there was another concern.
One of the regular Polar Bears was hawking a different cause as well. It seems NYS wants to destroy all of the already troubled and endangered mutant swans. This Brooklyn resident Polar Bear club member said she felt a need to help these swans so she set up a petition to try to stop the action.
I asked her what motivated her to help these helpless swans and she told me she was always a fan of Pete Seeger who just recently passed on, loved his music and remembered one of his quotes:
"If you want to do something, just do it!"
This influenced her. She likened this to her courage to take the plunge each Sunday into the Atlantic and also help these swans!
