KarmYog Education Network Awarded By National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)

KarmYog Education Network (KARMYOG EDUCATION NETWORK) path breaking OmniDELTM was selected as the Best Learning Method among all the skill development companies in India. The OmniDELTM developed by the Founder of KEN, Sourabh J. Sarkar was used to create a product (known as “Pawan Ko Kahin Dekha Kya?”) to train the drivers in a short span of time across Pan India. “Pawan Ko Kahin Dekha Kya?” is an engaging, one-of-a-kind training program for passenger vehicle drivers, transforming the way they think and work as it is said that a child without education is like a bird without wings.
KarmYog Education Network, Ltd (KARMYOG EDUCATION NETWORK (KEN) is a part of a larger ecosystem. KarmYog for the 21st Century is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the mission of personal and professional development of mankind through effective vocational learning throughout India and other emerging economies through media-and-technology-based learning-ware. Its founder Sourabh J. Sarkar is a remarkable leader who has developed specific technology and media to train learners at all levels.
In January 2012, KARMYOG EDUCATION NETWORK (KEN) launched “Pawan Ko Kahin Dekha Kya?” a training programme for drivers using KARMYOG EDUCATION NETWORK (KEN)'s propriety learning approach OmniDEL™. In a short span of 1year and 11 months they trained 10,000 drivers across 16 cities including 1200 drivers for Kumbh Mela 2013 Allahabad.
OmniDEL™ is a culmination of interactive multimedia, technology and aesthetics with knowledge. This makes learning engaging and hence effective. Since the learning aides are on a technological platform thus increasing the demand for training which would further help in scaling the training to an unprecedented level and also making it more economical.
OmniDEL™ has been designed, invented and rolled out by Sourabh J. Sarkar (IIT Kharagpur) who has studied interactive multimedia, mass communication and education at Syracuse, Newhouse School of Communications. The OmniDEL™ approach has been tested in India across a vast variety of industries and stakeholders - manufacturing workers, taxi drivers, distributor salesman on cycles, restaurant workers, construction workers etc to great success.
This approach of “Pawan Ko Kahin Dekha Kya?” is pioneered by educationist Sourabh J. Sarkar, a graduate from IIT KGP who believes that the emerging interactive technology and engaging media could be used as a mode of learning.
This training method is-Learner centric rather than content centric; easily accessible to learner through Click & Mortar model; scalable without diluting the learning experience quality; consistent in delivery, learning experience and engagement; non dependence on trainer as Learning is system led and thus helps in rapid scaling; and scalability thus helping in reducing cost.
“Pawan Ko Kahin Dekha Kya?” trained 10,000 drivers starting from Leh to Andamans across the section of car rental, BPO, fleet operators, corporate and government. This method has already been implemented across 16 locations- Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Leh, Srinagar, Varanasi, Allahabad, Lucknow, Barmer, Jodhpur, Pune, Sindhudurg, Surat, Ahmadabad, Hyderabad, Andamans.
According to Sourabh J. Sarkar, “We are overwhelmed to receive an award of such high prestige from National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) in a short span of time. We hope to continue to make such useful learning programme which can help the entire ecosystem in future.”
The benefits of this programme towards the society are to help the drivers to perform better and increase their earning capacity. It is also providing a sense of belonging to drivers who are currently the most neglected group. Besides this, in the coming years, KARMYOG EDUCATION NETWORK (KEN) also plans to introduce House Maids Hospitality based training, Facility Management and Housekeeping in the near future.
KARMYOG EDUCATION NETWORK (KEN)’s industry partners are ASDC (Applied for Recognition), Member of Tourists Transporters Association of India, Nasscom for “Pawan Ko Kahin Dekha Kya?”.
