London Morning Tube Rush Hour - The Rules!

London, 2014, Feb.5th. Morning commute in London is always a joy to be part of an enjoyment to be bestowed on any human being. Like anything, boarding the tube has a set of unspoken rules. But of course! They are during are simple and following can go along way to ensure your survival so pay attention:
1.- Try to place yourself along the part where you estimate the tube doors will open 2.- If you guessed right (requires experience and practice. Do not try this at home.) Then move to the side of the doors and let outgoing passengers get out 3.- As soon as they're out, get in as fast as you can and get to the middle of the carriage where you will be safe 4.- You can relax now so proceed to open your copy of the news paper or better yet, Metro paper, and fold the page just enough so you can read your page. better pick an article you really like and is long enough to get you to the next station where you can turn the page, otherwise...God help you. Best to use your smartphone and play cards! 5.- To get out, then once tube gets to the desired station, (Londoners only begin to make their way out once tube has arrived to the station, it's the rule!). Then proceed to push away other commuters and say "excuse me, pardon, and make your way out. On another occasion I will explain what to do if you did not guessed right the stop of the tube at the doors or if you are running to get in in an already crowed tube. I am afraid, that is too much excitement for one post. For now, and only for the strong, board the tube at rush hour...go forth and may the power be with you. written by Daniel Gurrola
