20 Vehicles Involved in Crash on I-5 in Oregon Snowstorm

A snow-related accident near Portland, OR occurred on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014. This picture shows (far left) what remains of a motor home involved in the accident. The entire right side of it was torn off. Officials said there were at least 20 vehicles involved, including trucks, cars and buses. They also said that not much snow falls in the Portland area and most drivers are not used to driving in snow. One witness told officers that a silver Mercedes Benz rear-ended a black SUV starting the chain-reaction pile-up. The accident was three miles north of Albany and south of Salem, the State Capitol. Interstate 5 was closed for several hours. No reports of injuries or fatalities were reported.
