I have a friend she and her mother are both disabled and in finally in 2010 they were able to buy the home they lived in and the bank put the money it took to fix problems with the house in the home loan.Problems like the landlord had let them live with out any heat for a year and when he did put in a heat source it was an electric furnace that did not work right so the bank hired what was to update the electrical box, fix any electrical issues in the house, and put the furnace in right.Well he put in a new electrical box but put the old breakers back in,he worked on the furnace because the bank would not allow for a new gas furnace to be put in though that is what my friend and her mother asked for and made it work for maybe three months before failing as for fixing the other problems in the house he did nothing. Now my friend and her mother has had to for the last three and half years have heated their home with little electric space heaters and every chance they get they have been try to have someone fix one of the problems in the electrical. This winter has been the roughest with four hundred dollar electric bills and two hundred dollar water bills trying to keep everything in working order so they have fallen behind by two months on their house payments and the bank which is based in the larger town to the south of Lancaster Mo and is the largest in the area has told these ladies that if they don't pay a payment next month which they planned on doing they will lose their home.A home that my friends mother worked for over twenty years to tried for years to buy for her family for years up until she nearly broke her neck while working as a nurses aide.A home that for years my friend dreamed about for years as young girl living in small apartments. And now because they are only behind two months they will lose it is this right when this same bank allowed the last owner to get behind almost a year.
