You Have the Power
No matter what you do, no matter where you are or where you go, keep the following in mind: YOU HAVE POWER! Your entire being is more powerful than you think. People are watching and listening to everything to do and say. I hear often that the things I say and do inspire people to follow their own dreams. That is something I still am not used to hearing, but I do not take it for granted. I always want to lift people up with my words because I know how hard it is to be in a rut and let life get you down.
A few days ago, I spoke out loud a goal of mine and several people responded positively to it. One extended her hand in assistance to my goal. Shortly after I spoke that goal out loud, this individual, her business partner, and I had a teleconference to discuss my plans. During that discussion, my friend asked me a very simple question: "who are you?" In my answer, I explained that I am a victor and my ultimate goal in life is to inspire and empower. From that, an idea arose that I had only briefly thought about beforehand. It was an idea that I toyed with only once, but ever since that particular idea was brought up, I haven't been able to get it out of my head: motivational speaking. I see this never-ending thought as a sign of the direction in which I am meant to go forth.
This morning, I carried on with my usual posting of my thoughts on Facebook and Twitter. On both social networks, two different people told me, in different ways, the same thing: "you motivate me."
I said all of that to say this: Words have power and influence. Do not think for a second that you are being ignored. You may not reach who you want to or who you'd hope to, but you can bet that you will reach who you are supposed to. Not only that, but it is also important to keep in mind that when someone speaks a blessing into/over you and your life, receive it. When someone else confirms it, believe it.
