This iReport is part of an assignment:
Life in China
Rock-slides, Water Buffaloes, & Detian Falls
While teaching English in small city of half a million in southern China, a Chinese friend suggested a short car ride to a local waterfall located on the border between Vietnam and China about fifty miles away. As an American having never driven on rural Chinese roads, I thought that a “short” car ride meant an hour or two. After more six hours and two road closures due to flooding and rock-slides and countless delays caused by water buffaloes wandering into the road, we arrived to behold the magnificent vista of Detian Falls.
