This iReport is part of an assignment:
Do College Students Deserve A Refund?
My name is Byron Thomas and America; I'm a student at the University of South Carolina (the real USC). I just have a question for y'all; do college students deserve a refund for when classes are canceled? Most people will say no, but I believe we do. We’ve been missing classes because of the snow and ice, and I’m not happy about it because I feel like I’m losing money since I’m not in class. The university already has our money and unless they are going to have us make-up the days we’ve missed, then I think the fair thing for them to do is refund money back to us for the missed days. If you brought a concert ticket and the concert gets canceled, wouldn’t you want your refund? I just don’t believe it’s fair that my money is wasted since I’m being forced to miss classes but yet I’ve already paid for a full semester’s worth of classes. I’m just the type of student that doesn’t like to miss classes compared to other students who don’t care about missing classes. I hope y’all understand what I’m saying.
