    Neglected Health Care

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     billrcarter toured the abandoned hospital with three other photographers in July. 'The hospital is open for scheduled paranormal tours; however, since I'm not a ghost hunter, the property keeper was kind enough to let us in for a photo tour.'
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

The Yorktown Memorial Hospital closed its doors in the 1980's and have left to ruin from neglect since. I spent an early morning documenting the decay and aged equipment in a location that provided health care for the residents in Yorktown. I have a passion for documenting these forsaken locations, hospitals being my favorite because of the history and stories to be heard. Art is what I see here while others may not agree, but consider it a tribute to the Yorktown Memorial Hospital.
