Do you eat ethically?
Today my husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day at home, but he had to wait until I finished with the food and the pictures! And it got cold, so I had to put everything in the microwave but it did not matter!
I am sharing this romantic healthy dish with meat as the main course. I cleaned it from the fat and I cooked it for 30 minutes. This procedure, according to what I have learned about cooking meat is the most healthy way to prepare and eat it.
Besides, I added vegetables (mushrooms) and accompany with rice, that is a mandatory side for Latino people.
Food and ingredients
(For two or four if you have company)
½ green or red peppers
Salt and garlic powder
Clean the meat of all the fat.
Cut it in pieces (medium squares, the best you can)
Flavor it with salt and garlic powder. Leave it for 10 minutes
Cut them round.
Onions and Peppers
Cut them in slices
Heat the oil in a big skillet. Remember not to let the oil to expel smoke, it means that is burning and it is dangerous.
Add the meat and move it with the wooden spoon side and side until it gets brown. It takes 10 minutes.
Add the mushrooms, the onion and the peppers. (ADD A LITTLE BIT OF MORE SALT AND GARLIC POWDER TO FLAVOR THE MUSHROOMS.)
Cover with a lid for 10 to 15 minutes and voila! There is your romantic dinner.
Side can be rice or mush potato
