Cortlandt Manor, NY Cortlandt Manor Winter Games: Hot. Stew. Mine.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     After shoveling 8 inches of snow on Friday, Geoffrey Arthur Drewyor felt like winter was getting a bit old. That is, until he saw a giant snow pile calling his name. Jumping over the massive snow pile inspired him to come up with his own version of the Sochi Winter Olympics: the Cortlandt Manor Winter Games in Cortlandt Manor, New York.

Events in his winter games include: “Snow Pile Diving; Running an Undisclosed Distance Through the Snow, Capturing the American Flag, and Bringing it Back for One's Country; and Barefoot Speed Shoveling to the Orange Bucket so Dog Can Urinate.”
    - zdan, CNN iReport producer

The Sochi Winter Olympics may be the only game in town but they are not the only winter games on the planet. In New York's Hudson River Valley, just up the road from a nuclear power plant and a prison, the Cortlandt Manor Winter Games feature one man attempting to crush world records in a series of events on the heels of yet another Nor'easter.

    The Events:
    1: Snowpile Diving
2: Running an Undisclosed Distance Through the Snow, Capturing the American Flag, and Bringing it Back for One's Country
3: Barefoot Speed Shoveling to the Orange Bucket so Dog Can Urinate

Then it all ends with Closing Ceremonies as they have never previously been seen!
