    International Women's Day 2014

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Australian iReporter JArvela said that for International Women's Day in 2014 she wanted a world where women and children could be free from exploitation. "The statement I chose is significant to me," she said. "Throughout my undergraduate and postgraduate study, I have focused on gaining an understanding of the complex social, political, and even envoronmental forces behind human trafficking; in particular women and children. My travel and professional life align with the goal of one day being in a position to have an affect on this often unrecognised, and sometimes accepted, issue of international slavery."

'Build a world where I can say that there are no longer women and children trafficked into prostitution.'
