Car Price Countdown To Change The Used Car Industry Forever
Columbus, OH - Ohio-Car Price Countdown is a used car dealership seeking to shake up the used car landscape in Columbus and beyond. The company's vehicle inventory runs on a patent pending, dynamic pricing system that automates price reductions for every vehicle in stock, in real time, until each vehicle sells. Ryan Gill, founder and president of Car Price Countdown says, "We want to make the vehicle purchasing process as simple and straightforward as possible. Car Price Countdown guarantees a discount on every car and lets the customer decide just how big that discount will become."
Car Price Countdown recognizes that today's customers are visiting fewer and fewer dealerships in person before purchasing a vehicle. The company aims to provide customers with an online destination providing as much relevant vehicle information as possible. Reducing customer discomfort and mistrust during the price negotiation process is what drives Car Price Countdown to offer transparent vehicle discounts. "Once a vehicle goes live, we, as the dealer, won't have to worry about arbitrary price maintenance on our inventory. For a customer, someone will see a vehicle's initial price as well as the current, reduced price from the countdown. Ideally, after some research and waiting for the price drop, a customer will connect with us in person and drive home in this great car that they've been watching online," says Jim Gill, co-owner of Car Price Countdown and owner of Chesrown Chevrolet Buick GMC, a Delaware staple for the last eleven years.
Customers will have options for monitoring vehicles of interest. Customers can sign up for price drop alerts on any vehicle, where a text or email will automatically alert a person when the price of a vehicle has fallen down to a certain dollar amount. Another feature will be the option to lock in the price of any vehicle, freezing the countdown and reserving a vehicle by taking it off the market for 24 hours to finalize purchase details. This action secures the vehicle price away from any competing persons that might be watching and waiting for the same vehicle. One can also confirm the availability of any vehicle in stock by simply inquiring straight from the website.
On how Car Price Countdown will affect the used car industry, Ryan Gill has big plans for his Countdown system. "There is a need for something new in the industry. The reason I'm so excited about Car Price Countdown is because of its simplicity: every car in our lot will be undergoing perpetual price reductions until it sells. The process is transparent, people can witness, in real time, where their discounts are coming from and only time will tell how deep the discount will go. You hear all the time in commercials about the way car buying should be and we think we've found it. A customer's personal time is a big investment, so we're glad to reward those people who dedicate their time in Car Price Countdown with a fantastic deal on a used car."
When asked about the long-term goals of Car Price Countdown, Gill mentions the possibility of going national. "What dealer couldn't benefit from a system like this? The beauty of Car Price Countdown is its simplicity and its reproducibility. Dynamic pricing is the progressive, competitive solution for inventory pricing and Car Price Countdown has created a system to make that possible. We plan to license the patent pending, dynamic pricing software to dealers across the country. We're very excited and used car managers everywhere should take notice."
Licensed dealers will be entitled to extensive resources including a marketing toolkit and thorough management training, both digitally and in person at the Car Price Countdown Pilot Store in Delaware. Jim Gill says, "We want to open our doors to interested managers from all over to come and see, from the inside, what we are all about and what we can offer with this tool." Car Price Countdown will be available to only one dealer per market, bringing market exclusivity to the licensed dealer. "We think this will be a game-changer, so to limit its availability to one dealer per market, we see having access to this tool a huge advantage to the licensed dealer."
