    Disappearing Act

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Candice Trimble88 was snapping up-close photos of snowflakes when she noticed just how quickly they were melting Friday. It was “just cold enough to snow, but not cold enough for the flakes to hold their beautiful shape,” said the Front Royal, Virginia, resident. “I managed to photograph clusters of flakes melting in my hair and clusters of flakes melting on a plant, leaving nothing but a droplet of water behind. Even captured a single flake which went from having incredible detail to becoming transparent in seconds.”
    - zdan, CNN iReport producer

Two feet of snow fell here in Virginia giving me the opportunity to photograph more snowflakes. I decided to collage the photos in before and after pictures, showing them in full form and during/after the melting stage. With the help of my new macro Olloclip lens I was able to photograph these beautiful flakes during their disappearing act.
