    Violent clashes in Altamira (Caracas/Venezuela)

Students gathered around Altamira square (Caracas) and a small group of youngsters started a riot against the Bolivarian National Guard. This ocurred around 4 until 6pm. The first two videos were taken around 5:15pm, moment when the officers started an offensive against the protesters.

The second set of videos are around 8:30pm. Those were taken in Chacao, where a group of individuals with covered faces, attempted to set fire to a public building. They started a fire with some garbage bags in the middle of the street and then the Police of Chacao district handled the situation: extinguished the fire and calmed the protesters.

Minutes after, a group of the Bolivarian National Guard came in violent fashion, shooting and throwing tear gas to disperse all the protesters, which caused a fight back by the youngster that were previously calmed by the local police.

In matter of minutes, at least 6 street corners around Chacao were set on fire. And agents of the Bolivarian National Guard started to shoot and suppress the protesters.

I have to admit that the local police (Chacao) displayed an outstanding performance, very professional, even emphatic with the crowd of protesters since most of them behave peacefully and non-violent. The downside was the behavior of this small group of individuals that were allowed to perform vandal acts, without the intervention to detain them. Instead, their behavior was the excuse for the GNB to attack and disband the protesters.
