For 15 years, Erik has served as a C-5 Aircraft Loadmaster and in just 12 years he was promoted to become a Master Sergeant. It was through the military that Erik Vrismo was able to go to school. From 2006 to 2009 Erik studied diligently while attending Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and majored in Professional Aeronautics. Beside the fact that he was a full time student, he remained full time with his command post and held a part time position as a security guard for a night club and he still managed to graduate as a Magna Cum Laude. After completing his undergraduate education, he enrolled and is currently working and is expecting to receive his Masters of Business Administration in Aviation degree soon.
Erik Vrismo takes his career and his various responsibilities seriously. He is very proud and honored to serve in the Air Force. In return, the Air Force has provided many life changing opportunities for him. Erik Vrismo earned several certificates, awards and honors. In 2004, he received the Phoenix Banner, in 2008 he received Government Security Clearance and in 2012 he became 9MM certified. His donation to the Child Fund International, he has provided children who have less than nothing with food, water, medical care, shelter, clothes and an education. “I feel like by helping others I am essentially helping myself as well,” Erik Vrismo philosophizes, “I feel that humanity is ultimately connected to one another as we are all interrelated and that when you give you also received feelings of gratitude and appreciation.
