Early morning earthquake in Barbados
According to the United States Geological Survey, the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.7 on the Richter scale.
The epicentre was approximately 126 miles to the northeast of Bridgetown at a depth of 20 miles.
It was also confirmed by Judy Thomas, head of Disaster of Emergency Management.
Barbadians called local radio stations to tell their experience. Most of the calls came from the north of the island.
