Clark St Bus # 22 Chicago

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Norman Massel has lived in the West Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago for 32 years. He’s particularly fond of Chicago's #22 bus line. He rides the bus for 8 to 10 miles of town, so he says he sees a "cross section of travelers: from rich to poor, educated to down and out." His guess is that most Chicagoans haven't taken this route. "They are truly missing out on the true atmosphere that Chicago has to offer!"

Two of his other favorite parts of the city include the motel district and the fragrant Indian neighborhood along Devon Avenue.
    - zdan, CNN iReport producer

The Clark St. Bus is my favorite thing about Chicago! The 12.5 mile trip is a living museum! You meet and see all kinds of interesting characters while passing through at least nine unique neighborhoods: from poor to rich, from modern to Victorian architecture. From north to south, you pass through East Rogers Park, Edgewater, Andersonville, Uptown, Wrigleyville, Boystown, Lincoln Park, North Loop and Downtown. In addition to driving past Wrigley Field and the Historical Museum, the route is near the Lincoln Park Zoo and hundreds of unique boutique stores. For an adult fare of $2.00, it's a virtual tour bus of Chicago. Whenever I travel out of town, I look for similar bus routes. ( This footage was shot about 2 pm on Feb. 16, 2014)
