Frozen Water Lines to over 98 homes in Jackson Michigan

Many residents have been without running water since January 31st due to sever winter weather here in Jackson Michigan. The City of Jackson has no way to thaw the pipes and keep the water running and with limited resources, the city has given up on efforts of thawing any more residents in the city. Jackson residents are advised to get water from the city for free during the hours of operation 8am to 3pm Monday through Friday however, most residents may not have the ability to appear during those times to fill up there containers. The city reached out to the local YMCA to provide free shower services however again, some of the residents are disabled or have small children and are apprehensive about tking there child to a public showering facility. The city has no viable solution at this time and many resiedents are frustrated over the cities ability to solve this issue. The city of Jackson has not been able to give a clear reason why they have not been able to thaw residents but have offered several conflicting reasons including but not limited to: "we have a broken machine and the part is ordered", a different person said " we have a broken machine and new equipement has been ordered" still another, "The part is on back order", "the part is on a ship and stuck in customs". Many are frustrated with the responses and the continual run around by the city manegment.
