To me, travel is about moments. Individual experiences that happen as I visit different parts of the world. When I look back at an adventure, it's those moments that I remember and that make me smile. I visited Peru last year on an amazing small group adventure with Gate 1 Travel. It was especially interesting as I had visited on my own several years before and I really enjoyed going back to some of those same places with a local expert. Our last stop was Lima, and after flying in from Cusco, we spent the day exploring the city, arriving at the Miraflores neighborhood at Sunset. Miraflores is a beautiful area, right by the sea, but also with a lot of great dining and shopping. I think it's a great place to stay if you're visiting Lima. I took this pic at sunset with my Sony Action Cam using the 170 degree wide angle setting. It's one of my favorite images from that trip and just reminds me of that moment when we got off our little tour bus just as the beautiful sunset was happening over the ocean.
