Art Despite Hard Times
More than 200 artists created unique chalk art pieces as part of the 21st annual Pastels on the Plaza Saturday October 4, 2008 in Arcata, California. A sidewalk "square" is selected by the artist and their imaginations and preschool chalk led to a linked colorful sidewalk around the entire Arcata Plaza. The event was organized by Kathy Montagne and the Northcoast Children's Services, benefiting more than 1000 children and their families.
