Popular Artist Delivers Powerful Message To Cleveland Residents
The pseudonymous based artist and political activist known as Seph Lawless delivered a powerful message to the during the worldwide event known as PechaKucha 20x20 this past friday night in Cleveland,Ohio. To protect his identity the message was delivered through a secure voice terminal that uses digital encryption. PechaKucha is a simple presentation format where a feature artist shows 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The artists usually curate the work in some fashion as the images automatically display. There would be nothing simple about Lawless' presentation, which left much of the crowd emotional moved and some in tears. 'I don't know what to say really. I'm speechless' said Deborah Manning, who was one of hundreds at the sold out event that evening. The CEO of the City Club of Cleveland @Danmoulthrop wrote on his Instagram account '@sephlawless delivers a bomb onstage tonight. Great challenge to our community.'
This view widely resonated after Lawless' powerful speech that according to professional speaker Ann Watkins was delivered brilliantly. She was sent the tape after the video began trending all weekend online. ' Lawless' speech was not only brilliantly written, but it was delivered in a very profound and powerful way by design. It would appear he added dramatic pauses at exactly the right times. Something that is an art form all of it's own' says Watkins.
The anticipation was even higher the night of the event after the host announced the elusive artist was in fact among the crowd that night discreetly studying the crowds reaction. A trait the artist routinely practices and why Watkins says is more than likely why Lawless has become so effective at doing what he does. 'It's incredibly rare for someone to possess those qualities entirely on their own. It would take a great amount of time and calculation to perfect that kind of art.'
Lawless' speech starts off strong, but at approximately three minutes into the speech he dramatically shifts the topic into some real issues the city of Cleveland is facing and accomplishes that by sharing an incredible moving personal story. 'It's always important to have a human connecter when writing a speech if you want people to remember it' Watkins said.
Throughout the speech Lawless had demanded the crowds attention and he would have it all the way to the end. At times, you could hear a pin drop and other times sobbing, several people were seen that night leaving in tears. Lawless had effectively achieved his goal. He wanted to move people in hopes they would move into some sort of activism. A goal outlined on the artists website WWW.SEPHLAWLESS.COM.
