Graphic Novels about to change
A graphic novel is often described as a work of fiction in a comic strip format. Popular with people of all ages, and most recently adapted for the big screen, graphic novels have begun to evolve. A young man from Nottingham has plans to change the way people experience a graphic novel, by introducing a narrated and professionally performed musical accompaniment to his own graphic novel series.
Paul is a young entrepreneur from Nottingham. Most recently Paul has been working as a portrait artist, but his skills and passion for the arts go much further than that. In 1999 Paul began writing and producing his own music, since then he has begun to release his music as part of a back catalogue collection. After studying art, music, psychology and social science, Paul has begun to develop a brand of visual and musical work.
A fan of Tin Tin, Batman, Spiderman, Tank girl, and many other english, american and Japanese comics, Paul takes inspiration from a wide variety of visual artists and writers. His favourite musicians collectively cover the majority of musical genres, and with such a broad appreciation of musical styles, it’s not difficult to see why Paul’s musical ability and artistic potential is so great.
As talented as he is, Paul needs support for the project, and so he has launched a campaign on the crowd funding website kickstarter.com. Because Paul no longer has access to a studio, he not only requires the use of high quality studio equipment for his production, but also the support of fans and followers to get behind the project to help him publicise his work.
We asked graphic novel fans what they though about Paul’s project, we showed each of them an example of his work taken from his Kickstarter campaign. Not only did they admire Pauls artwork, they were excited about the possibilities, one young man immediately offered his support.
You can back Paul’s exciting project and get your hands on one of many exclusive and extremely limited incentives, by visiting Paul’s Kickstarter campaign page (link below).
