NY February 21, 2014 Singer, songwriter, and producer Ron Rogers is thrilled for Kid Creole And The Coconuts. The groups album "Fresh Fruit In Foreign Places" including Rogers' song "Gina, Gina" placed prominently on the VILLAGE VOICE 50 MOST NYC ALBUMS EVER! "August Darnell's concept albums are works of art. His flair for drama and his love of cinema have driven his vision, and distinguish his work" says Rogers, a long time songwriter and producer for the internationally known group. He adds, "Gina, Gina ( off the Fresh Fruit L.P.) was inspired by Adriana Kaegi, co founder, choreographer, and driving force behind KC&C's initial success". Rogers and Darnell co wrote and produced the groups latest single "Rat Pack" on Tommy Boy. More recently, former Kid Creole And The Coconuts member and co star Coati Mundii teamed up with Rogers to co write and produce the artist’s new E.P "Sube Las Manos / Shake Dat Beehind".
